Hirokazu Doi (15), a third year student of Nanryou Junior High School, who had been treated at the Tokoname City Hospital for falling down and strongly hitting his head during the judo match on June 17, died of acute subdural hematoma due to brain contusion on June 23, 3:22 am. He fell with the technique used by the opponent. The judo match was held at the city sponsored Elementary-Junior High School Spring Sports Day in Tokoname city, Aichi Prefecture.
