First year high school student dies from heat stroke after judo practice

A first year student of Kojima High School in Kurashiki, Shinsuke Ishii (15), was found lying on the prefectural road on Aug. 3 at about 3:00 pm due to heat stroke on his way home from judo club practice. He was taken to a hospital in the city, where he was confirmed dead about one hour later.
Information from people involved indicated that Shinsuke attended a joint judo club practice held at another school in the same city. After the morning session he collapsed on his way home when he was riding his bicycle.
Since all the participating members seemed exhausted from intense heat, the joint training session was cancelled after morning activities.
