First year high school student with high body temperature at judo training camp dies in hospital

The Ota Police Station received a report from a hospital around 5:30 pm on October 30 that a first year high school student of Tokiwa High School, Yoshihiko Kogure (16), died in the hospital from an unknown cause. The student is the son of Ryoichi Kogure, a company employee.
The investigation indicated that Yoshihiko, who had participated in the training camp of the after-school judo club from Oct. 23, had a body temperature of 40.3℃ on Oct. 28. He went to the hospital to receive treatment but since his temperature went down he returned to the camp. His body temperature rose again on Oct. 29, therefore he was hospitalized. On Oct.30 around 1:30 pm he died due to an unknown cause.
