Second year junior high school student dies during judo club summer camp; heat stroke after running

A second year male student (13) of Mitaki Junior High School in Yokkaichi city had heat stroke and became ill on Aug. 31 after running during judo club summer training camp. He died in hospital the following day.
The school said the judo club summer camp was held for 3 days from Aug. 29 at the martial arts gym of the school. On the last day, Aug. 31, he ran about 3 km around the school from 7:00 am with other students. At breakfast he did not eat because he said he had no appetite. Other members noticed something was wrong, so he visited the hospital for treatment.
