Third year high school student dies after judo practice in PE class

A third year high school student of Kyushu Electronic Institution High School in Fukuoka Prefecture fell down immediately after judo practice during PE class on Sep. 17 at around 11:00 pm. He was taken to hospital but died two hours later of heart failure. Orio Police are collecting information from relevant people.
The school explained that the students practiced break falls and randori (free sparring) with opponents in the judo training hall. Right after the end of the 45-minute class, the student collapsed, still wearing the judo outfit. No cerebral hemorrhage nor external injuries were identified at the hospital.
